Laser Hardening
In the Laser Hardening process, a laser beam is used for the purpose of heating the surface of a metal, and is consequently let to cool down quickly in surrounding air. This process is mostly used for ferrous materials like steel and cast iron where the carbon content is more than 0.2 percent. Hard and wear resistant surfaces are obtained with the laser hardening method and it would also require less refinishes, because of its quality and accuracy.
